Dr. Mathew's dental practice is a true gem. If you're like me, you probably have some restorative dental work that should have been done a long time ago but you keep avoiding because of the exceedingly high rates that dentists charge in America. My regular dentist in the States told me I would need two crowns which would cost about $1,000 each. There was no way I could afford that. . Reluctantly, I agreed to get this work done while my family visited Kerala a few months ago. we initially made an appointment with a local dentist. After that dentist rescheduled my appointment twice (which majorly screwed up our plans, being in Kerala for 3 weeks total), I decided enough is enough and we ended up googling to find another dentist who could see me last minute with only a week left before my flight. Enter Dr. Mathew John's dental specialty. The office was located on the main road in Ettumanoor , but what it looks like on the outside is nothing compared to what you see what greets you when you walk in. I walked into his office without many expectations, to say the least, after all, I had already been to a few dental offices in Kerala. but Wow! I was really blown away. I really felt like I was back home in the States. first of all, his office is air conditioned! There's an actual waiting room complete with a flat screen TV that's wall mounted, to boot. I've got to say, it exceeded my expectations. The office was neat and clean, fully staffed, and even looked like it was professionally decorated. Dr. Matthew was very friendly and spoke to me in very good English, which made me very comfortable . It's definitely a state-of-the-art facility that you'd have to pay $$$$ back at home! I ended up getting one crown and an inlay instead of the second crown, which Dr. Mathew suggested was better. I've already recommended him to all my family and I know they won't be disappointed. I felt the need to write this review for those of you who are delaying dental work because you simply can't afford it. The next time you travel to Kerala, just schedule an appointment at the office beforehand, if you want superior service at a fraction of the cost. You won't regret it!
